North American Bocker Roofing & Construction Equipment, Inc. was established in 1985, by AG Zalal, North American Bocker's President. Owning a roofing company himself, AG recognized the typical contractor's wants and needs.
In 1984, Mr. Zalal attended a NRCA Convention and bought his first Böcker Hoist. Mr. Zalal tested the machine for nearly a year and found that the Hoist was extremely reliable and versatile. After speaking to Albert Böcker, the manufacturer of the Böcker Company, Mr. Zalal came to the conclusion that he should begin to distribute the hoists throughout the United States and Canada.
Beginning with a small customer database, Mr. Zalal was able to listen to his fellow contractors desires. Further, AG became interested in finding small hand tools for slating and metalworking in addition to providing hoists. On his second trip to Europe he brought back many types of hammers, seaming folders, pliers, slate cutters, and irons. Each year Mr. Zalal returns to Germany and nabs other products and begins to market his merchandise throughout North America.
Currently North American Böcker sells hundreds of items including metal bending machines, soldering equipment, hand tools for slate and metal working, hoists, electric slate cutters and stainless steel. With his strong dealer network any potential customer may purchase equipment in his or her own region of the US.
